DECK DESIGN: Monday Blues originated in South Africa, so I utilized the colors of its flag in the design. The rough edges and textures used originate with the grassroots movement that is Global Monday Blues. I wanted each page to look and feel handmade or hand printed. I still incorporated some of my personal digital grit to each slide.

 

HAT DESIGN: The hat logo was inspired by the global aspect of GMB. It's an international event after all. The stamp is a paper lantern with a mesh globe pattern. It features a vintage plane landing in South Africa. The characters 世界 read as sek•kai, meaning world. Global Monday Blues is based out of Japan, hence the kanji and paper lantern. 

 

SHIRT DESIGN: The t shirt design is inspired by 70’s band logos. GMB is mostly about music, so I borrowed elements from an era of music-based graphic design that i think is really cool. It also features the paper lantern globe from the hat design.
